The school district has announced personnel changes at the district office and at Provo High School. These changes will take effect on July 1st.
Jarod Sites has been named as the new principal of Provo High School, replacing Boyd McAffee. Jarod began his 20+ years career with Provo City School District as a Social Studies and PE Teacher at Independence High School before moving into Youth Corrections teaching multiple subjects. Jarod has also been an assistant principal at Centennial Middle School, principal at Spring Creek Elementary School, and principal at Dixon Middle School. Most recently, Jarod has been Director of Human Resources/Certified Employees.
Boyd McAffee will move to the district office as Director of Human Resources/Certified Employees, replacing Jarod Sites. Boyd began his career with Provo City School District teaching English and Social Studies at Independence High School before being appointed as assistant principal. Boyd also taught English at Provo High and was assistant principal at Centennial Middle School. In the fall of 2012, Boyd was appointed as an assistant principal at Provo High before becoming principal in 2017.
We extend many thanks to Boyd for the tremendous work he has done at Provo High and wish him well in his new assignment. We know great leadership will continue at Provo High having Jarod at the helm, and we welcome him as our new principal.
