Why I {Counsel} Wednesday
For Deana Edmondson, the magic moment of “I’m going to be a school counselor” happened while she was registering her own child as a new eighth grade student. Counseling seemed like a dream job because of the ability to individually help students. A few years later, she started her master’s degree at Utah State. She says that although the work is harder than she initially expected, she loves helping the students. “As counselors, we help with so many things that there is never a dull moment. But I love striving to make a difference in the world each day. I am so thrilled to be living my dream with an awesome team here at Provo High and helping students find and follow their dreams, too.”
Thank you, Deana, for the work you do!
Happy Veterans Day
To all veterans of all branches: Thank you for your sacrifice and service! To all who have served, and those who continue to serve… Happy Veterans Day!
Motivational Monday
This week’s quote comes from Computer Science teacher Chelsey Beck:
If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.
– Chris LeDoux
… and might I add that we each have this potential if we ourselves dream more, learn more, do more, and become more 🙂
