- How do I find the courses I need to work on? The courses that your counselor has assigned to you for recovery are located either on your Canvas dashboard or you will receive an email from the District with instructions on how to access your eSchool courses through BUZZ. You must accept the course/s when they first appear on Canvas or log into your Buzz account to complete your daily assignment.
- How do I know which course to choose? Make sure that the courses on Canvas, have either GAP before the course name and 22-23 after the course name. Do NOT choose a course without the 22-23 as they will no longer work toward receiving credit for the course: Example: GAP SM2 Q1 22-23. The Buzz courses will also appear on the Buzz front page.
- Do I have to take my course assessment at school? Yes, all assessments are password protected and must be taken at school under teacher supervision.
- Do I have to take the assessment? Yes, taking the assessment is a perquisite for receiving recovery credit for a course.
- What if I don’t remember anything about the course that I’m recovering? You will complete the modules and take notes before taking the assessment. You also must score 60% on your modules before taking the assessment, so you should be able to easily pass the assessment with 60% or greater. The score on the assessment you will need 60% or greater on the final exam to receive a “P” grade and 0.25 credits for the recovery course. The assessment can be taken more than once. You may also go back to the modules, take more notes and then take the assessment again.
- Can I do my assignments/modules/packets from home? You do not have to be at school to do the assignments/modules. The unit tests can be taken more than once. The unit tests let you know how much knowledge you obtained from the reading and working the modules.
