My name is Mrs. Fahringer, but you may call me Mrs. Fahringer, Mrs. F, Shirley, or Patty’s mom. My daughter also teaches here at PHS and is also the Head Athletic Trainer for PHS, many of you may already know her.
The most unique thing about me, that especially people find strange is that I was raised as an only child, by parents that were only children. So I grew up with no siblings, no aunts or uncles, and no first cousins. The other thing that some people find strange, but not so much in Utah is that two of my daughters and I were pregnant at the same time twice. I have four wonderful daughters, two sons-in-law, 9 grandchildren and their spouses and 17 great grand children. When I married Mr. Fahringer, he had two daughters already that I later adopted. I have been so blessed.
I have a love for learning and believe that learning is a lifelong process and that we can learn so much from each other. I have two undergraduate degrees, one an Associate in Fine Arts and the other a Bachelor of Science in Education. My graduate degree is a Masters of Education with the emphasis on Instructional Technology.
All my education hasn’t all come from books! I love to travel and see as much of the world that I can. I’ve been to all 50 states, the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, England, Ireland, North Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Iceland, Spain, Mexico and Norway and learned so much from the places visited. I have lived in New York, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Utah.
I love the theater, the symphony, watching sports, horses, dogs, cats, movies, pottery, painting, cooking, crocheting, knitting, reading, music, and singing. I like TV programs like Cold Justice, Jeopardy, Murder 101, The Great British Bake Off, Mysteries at the Museum and even old reruns of Matlock.
I can’t wait to learn more about each of you!
