Meet Mr. Michael Bradley! Michael teaches German, Russian, and World Geography. Here’s why he teaches:
I grew up in Germany in the German school system. In the German school system, you really don’t have much of an opportunity to get close to your teachers. But once I switched to an American school system, I saw a difference in teachers. I had to learn English as a second language and I had many teachers that took me under their wings, so to say, so that I could succeed in school. I had never seen this in the German school system. Though I was struggling due to the language difference, I really enjoyed school and was happy to be there. Later in Texas, as I was trying to make a living to provide for my family, I was able to take a job with a private language school teaching English to Hispanic high school students who needed extra help. Seeing their success and bright eyes when they achieved their goals was amazing. I believe that these instances helped create a joy for teaching. This joy of seeing students learn new things, the light in their eyes when they achieve and succeed– this is one of the main reasons that I love and continue to teach.
Michael is ausgezeichnet. We are grateful to have him here at Provo High!
