UMPS CARE Charities All-Star College Scholarship

- Eligibility:
- The All-Star Scholarship is open to children adopted at or after the age of 13 (or who have exited foster care to permanent guardianship) to provide increased opportunities for advanced education. Each year, one student will be selected to receive the scholarship. This student will be eligible to receive up to $10,000 annually to go towards tuition, books, and other college-related expenses.
- A completed application that includes four short answer/essays written by the student.
- Three letters of recommendation. Letters should reflect the writer’s knowledge of the student’s achievements, improvements, and personal needs.
- Teacher/ Administrator: One letter should represent a teacher or administrator who is familiar with the student’s work and accomplishments.
- Personal Reference: The second letter should come from a significant person in the child’s life (i.e. social worker, coach, mentor, etc.).
- Parent: The parent letter should highlight the growth the student has shown since adoption.
- The student’s most recent high school transcript and a copy of first semester’s grades. The student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- A copy of the Student Aid Report (FAFSA). Visit the web for complete FAFSA details including deadlines at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- A copy of the student’s adoption or legal guardianship paperwork.
- If the student’s college or university requires submission of ACT/SAT scores for admission, a copy of the score report from the applicable testing agency
- Applicants must have been adopted or exited foster care to permanent guardianship at or after the age of thirteen (13)
Applicants must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA Application.
Applicants must be incoming or current college students, age 21 or younger at the time that the application is submitted, accepted to or attending an accredited college or university located in the United States.

UVU Civil & Mechanical Engineering Scholarship

- We would like to make you aware of an exciting opportunity for your students interested in attending college and pursuing careers in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Utah Valley University is offering a scholarship specifically designed to support talented and motivated students that have shown excellent academic ability but may have financial needs that may otherwise prevent them from entering these fields. If awarded, the student will receive financial support covering the tuition, fees, and other expenses for up to four years if the student is a declared Civil or Mechanical Engineering major and meets program academic requirements.

- To Apply: Submit a less than 800-word essay on the topic “How I Overcame a Trial and How I am Using that Experience to Further Success in My Life”. Winners are selected based on their essay submission alone, so no other materials are needed to apply.
- Essay Submission: All essays should be emailed to scholarship@pearsonbutler.com with the subject title “Scholarship Essay – Student Name and School” and must also include the student’s name and high school name in the email.
All submissions must be submitted in .pdf format.
- Award Amount: $1,000.00 Cash Reimbursement (requires verification)

- Be a member of Freedom Credit Union in good standing OR be a direct descendant (child or grandchild) of a current member in good standing. Step- and adoptive relationships are accepted. Membership date in any case must be no later than April 1, 2025.
- Graduate from a public or charter high school in the spring of 2025. Copy of official high school transcript required for application.
- Plan to attend an accredited public or private college, university, trade school or vocational school full-time within 9-months of graduation. (Deferrals available for up to 2-years for military or volunteer service.)
- Provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, or leader of an organization with which you have worked. This letter should address your character, work ethic, and likelihood to succeed academically and professionally.

Earl W Kintner Public Service Scholarship

- Eligibility:
- The Foundation of the Federal Bar Association Public Service Scholarship seeks to provide $5,000 as assistance to a graduating high school senior planning to attend a four-year college or university. At least one of the parents (or guardians) of the student must be a current federal government attorney or federal judge and member of the Federal Bar Association.
The annual Public Service Scholarship is funded by the Earl W. Kintner Memorial Fund. Kintner was a distinguished member of the Federal Bar Association and two-time national president. His professional and civic leadership and dedication serve as a model to any aspiring academic. Applicants must submit:

Association for Women in Aviation Maintenance Scholarship (AWAM)

- This scholarship program aims to support and empower women in aviation maintenance by providing assistance for their education and training, testing, tool and workwear purchases. This year we are awarding over $36,000 in tuition scholarships alone!

Amount: $1,500 – $7,500
- To be considered for the Utah Young Humanitarian Award, applicants must submit all components of the application—including the two essay questions, two letters of recommendation, and completed application form—before the deadline. Evaluation will focus on the quality of essays and letters of recommendation, with a primary emphasis on demonstrated, sustained, and focused service efforts benefiting individuals or communities in need. Ideal candidates will exhibit strong leadership skills, a history of consistent service, hands-on involvement, self-motivation, collaboration with others, and a tangible, positive impact within Utah.
- The Utah Young Humanitarian Award scholarship requires recipients to serve as ambassadors for one year, representing the organization and the values of service it promotes.
- As part of this ambassadorship, recipients will attend at least three engagements arranged by the Young Humanitarian Award Director, where they will share their experiences, inspire others, and promote Youthlinc’s mission of creating lifetime humanitarians.

- Multiple $3,000 Scholarships Awarded to students pursuing a STEM degree at a Utah-based trade/tech school or college /university.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be either in the 12th grade and enrolled in any public or private high school in Utah, or a first-year student pursuing a STEM undergraduate degree or STEM-related technical certification at a Utah institute of higher learning. Students must certify their intent to pursue a STEM-related degree at a public or private institution of higher learning located in the state of Utah; or a license, certificate, or skill training that supports the energy industry at a school that is part of the Utah System of Higher Education. Past scholarship winners are ineligible to apply for the program. Those pursuing a second-degree or master’s program are ineligible to apply for the program. - Horatio Alger Association administers over 70 scholarship programs, offering opportunities for students in various stages of their academic careers to achieve their educational goals and realize their potential.

- Amount: $1.000
- Each year, RMACAC is pleased to offer fifteen (15) $1,000 scholarships to students who exhibit a commitment to learning, demonstrate leadership skills, and are committed to serving their communities. RMACAC will select three (3) scholarship recipients per RMACAC state: Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.
- Students who live in one of the member states, attend a public or private high school in one of the member states, is in their final year of high school, and will be attending a regionally accredited college or university beginning the Summer 2024 or Fall 2024 term. Students must have at least a 3.0 high school GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
International students and students with undocumented/DACA status who attend high school or a 2-year college within the RMACAC region are also eligible to apply.

- Amount: Varies, usually $4,000
- The Opportunity Scholarship is a simplified, statewide, achievement-based program that encourages students to complete advanced courses in core subject areas while in high school, aims to make higher education more accessible, and rewards students for preparing academically for college. These requirements were created after examining recent Utah high school graduates’ data to identify the top college success predictors.
