Guest Dance Policy and Form

Provo High School Dance Guest Policy

At Provo High School, dances are special events designed to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all students and their guests. To ensure everyone has a positive experience, it’s important that all attendees follow the school’s policies and behave respectfully throughout the event. If you plan to bring a guest, please complete the Guest Dance Pass form, available online above, and submit it along with a copy of your guest’s photo ID at least two days before the dance. Below are the guidelines for bringing guests and the expectations for conduct and dress at Provo High School dances.

Guest Eligibility

  • At least one member of the couple must be a current Provo High School student to attend a Provo High dance.
  • Guests who graduated more than one year ago are not allowed to attend.
  • All guests must follow the Rules of Conduct listed below.
  • Guest Pass Requirements
  • Guests must complete a Guest Dance Pass form.
  • The form, along with a copy of the guest’s photo ID, must be submitted to Provo High School administration at least two (2) days before the dance.

Rules of Conduct

Dress Standards

Clothing should not be revealing; undergarments must be covered. Attire must not display inappropriate content, such as references to drugs, violence, or gang affiliation. Dress should be appropriate for the event: casual, semi-formal, or formal depending on the dance.

Behavior Standards

Unsafe or inappropriate dancing, including suggestive or crude movements, is not allowed. Weapons, alcohol, and illegal substances are strictly prohibited at the dance and on school property. Dance chaperones will enforce these rules and may ask students to leave if rules are violated.

Consequences

Parents and school administrators will be notified if guests seriously violate the Rules of Conduct. Additional disciplinary actions may be taken if necessary.
