PHS Performing Arts Presents: Nevermore

This Friday at 7:00 PM the PHS Performing Arts are proud to present NEVERMORE: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe.  Other dates are:  November 16th, 18th, 22nd, 23rd, and 25th

This is the Utah premier of this torrid tale of one of America’s most enigmatic and influential poets.  Featuring some of Provo High’s finest performers, this play takes us through the memories and nightmares of Poe engaging in the trials of life and how they intersect in the creative process.  Grief and tragedy find in the darkness a taunting ray of hope and hope finds voice in beauty and poetry.

Expertly weaving the text of Poe’s work with the events of his life through dark and brooding music you will be taken on an emotional journey with the ghastly, grim, and grotesque to boot.  All supported by Lisa Wygant’s brilliant production design and stellar perfomances by the students of PHS it will surely be a delight and inspiration to all.
