Normal Schedule for Schools and Buses Today (1/6/17)
Schools and buses will be running on their regular schedules today. We ask that parents please be patient with buses, as individual neighborhoods may have slower road conditions than others. The buses will be there to pick up students, even if they are running a couple of minutes behind schedule.
All Schools – 2 Hour Late Start Today (1/5/17)
Due to extremely icy road conditions throughout the city, it has been decided that all Provo Schools will have a 2 hour late start today. This means that each school will begin 2 hours after it’s normal start time, and buses will pick up students 2 hour after the normal pick up time.
This also means that:
- All morning kindergarten classes and preschool classes will be cancelled for the day.
- All elementary after school programs will be cancelled.
- All secondary after school programs will be determined by each school.
- Due to the late start, breakfast will not be served in the morning.
Parents are once again encouraged to do what they feel is in the best interest of their students. All absences and tardies will be excused. If you choose to keep your child home, please call the school.
School Will Begin At Regularly Scheduled Times (1/4/17)
School will be begin at regularly scheduled times today. There has been little to no snow overnight. Additionally, crews have been out since yesterday afternoon clearing the school parking lots of snow. Please check the district website, Facebook or Twitter pages for any additional updates.
Academic All State Honorees
“For over 25 years the UHSAA has presented the Academic All-State Award to recognize those students who have excelled in the classroom as well as in athletic competition. Individuals are selected for this award on the basis of their athletic ability and academic proficiency. With over 85,000 students participating in high school activities, this award is the most prestigious honor the UHSAA presents to senior students.” -uhsaa.org
This year, the list of Academic All State Honorees includes four PHS students- Kate Hunter (cross country), Spencer Jorgensen (football), Chad Paxman (football), and Abby Moore (soccer). Congrats to each!
