Provo High School Graduation Cords
The following is a list of the cords offered and how the student earns them
Academic Honors Cords
These are based on a combination of the student’s grades and the rigor of the courses taken in high school
- Gold – Summa Cum Laude: This is the highest ranked students
- Silver – Magna Cum Laude: This is the second highest ranked students
- White – Cum Laude: The 3rd highest ranked students
Program cords
These are based on program completion
- Hunter Green – Concurrent Enrollment
- Double cords – student has completed 30 or more Concurrent Enrollment Credits while in high school
- Single Cord – student has complete 15 to 20 Concurrent Enrollment credits while in high school
- Navy Blue – Career Technology Education (CTE)
- Double Cord – student has completed 2 or more CTE Pathways while in high school
- Single Cord – Student has completed 1 CTE pathway while in high school
- Seal of Biliteracy – Student have passed the Utah State test for Biliteracy, scores are verified by their high school counselor
- Black/Gold/White Twist
Club Cords
Distribution of these cords are determined by the department or program sponsoring the cords/program
- FCCLA – Red/White Twist
- TSA – Red/White/Blue Twist
- DECA – Blue/White Twist
- POP (People’s of Polynesia) – Green/Purple/Gold Twist
- HOSA – Burgundy/Navy/White Twist
- Latinos In Action – Red/Black Twist Utah
- CTE Expo – Black and Gray Twist
