(3 absences/days per term to still receive an A.)
A student can have three excused absences per term without penalty. Each absence after 3 the student’s class participation grade will be lowered 10%. If however, a student has extra-curricular absences, these will not count toward their allotted three absences.
Absences because of extended illnesses, injuries, doctor’s excuses and (pre-approved vacations with an extended leave form) will be handled on an individual basis.
All tardies and unexcused absences must be excused according to the PHS attendance policy.
A student has two free tardies; upon being tardy a third time, that student will lose five points from his or her class participation grade.
