- I’ve been teaching Chemistry (including AP Chemistry, Physical Science, Algebra I and Geometry) at Provo High School for 25 years.
- For several summers I taught the recreation portion of a Field Studies class.
- I’ve received the following awards:
- Award for Excellence in Chemistry Education from the BYU Chemistry Department in 1993.
- Honored on two occasions by the University of Utah Chemistry Department, 1993 and 1994.
- Golden Apple Award for 2000-2001
- Public Education Excellence Award from the State of Utah, Office of the Governor, 2002.
- Nominated for Building on Excellence Award in 2004
- Outstanding Chemistry Teacher from the Utah Science Teachers Association in 2006
- Utah High School Chemistry Educator Award from the American Chemistry Society in 2009
- PTSA Best Practices Award in 2010
- Provo High School Teacher of the Year in 2011
- Provo School District Teacher of the Year in 2011
- About Me
- I love spending time with my husband. We love to travel, go hiking, biking, boating, and ride our ATVs. I also love to work in my garden, cook, read, and play the piano and organ.
