At the ProStart Regional Competition held at the Provo Marriott on February 19, PHS took 1st place among 10 teams. Their theme of “The Heritage Cafe” (serving up taste and traditions) included a three course meal of Root Beer Glazed Chicken Lollipops, Lamb Loin with Port Gastrique, and Goat Cheese Thyme Semifreddo. The team will be going on to State competition on March 6th at Thanksgiving Point.
Team members include Logan Sanford (captain), Nate Anderson, Melanie Carruthers, and Sunni Holmberg. Alternates are Utahna Warren and Larissa McBride. The management team includes Sarah Smith (captain), Stephen Tovar, Kalee Webb, Pam Sperry and alternates Malissia Fifita and Aimee Andrews.
