Ty Jones Headed to the U.S. Army All American Bowl
Representatives from the U.S. Army arrived at Provo High yesterday to deliver a special invitation to senior Ty Jones. Recognized for his hard work & leadership, Ty will be one of 90 high school seniors to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Of these, 16 seniors- including Ty- have been nominated for the U.S. Army Player of the Year Award, the most distinguished individual award in high school football. The winner will be announced during the Bowl Game on January 7th.
You can read more about Ty’s amazing accomplishments in the Daily Herald.
Congrats, Ty!
Mother Exhibition
On December 13th, the Woodbury will open its first ever student-led exhibition featuring local artists from Provo High. The show presents various ways that a human brain handles various artistic constraints- in this case, a mother color of yellow ochre. Each artist will be challenged to mix yellow ochre with every other color in their painting, which will provide an interestingly similar, yet diverse set of works.
As students, we were challenged to step into real life roles, and required to work on our specific role independently, while still being collaborative, in order to create works of art that tie back to our exhibition’s thesis statement.
We welcome all to visit our opening reception at the Woodbury Museum Of Art (575 E. University Pkwy.) The reception will be held December 13th from 6-8 P.M.
Thank you!

Table to Table Local Fundraising Event
On Monday, December 5th from 5-9 pm, Guru’s Café in Provo will host “Table to Table,” a special fundraiser, food drive, and art sale to benefit families experiencing a devastating food crisis in Venezuela. Our National Art Honor Society Students are supporting this community event.
The event is open to the public and there are three ways to get involved. Anyone can come to Guru’s Café that evening and buy a meal, purchase local art, or bring non-perishable food. Guru’s will donate 60% of each sale to the cause, and 100% of the purchase price for art will go towards buying and shipping food.
