Cesar Cardoso is a veteran teacher; he’s been in the ‘biz for 29 years! He is an outstanding PE teacher and boys’ soccer coach who truly cares for the students he works with. Cesar was born in Brazil. Between that and his coaching, it may be easy to guess that two of his favorite things are playing soccer and eating Brazilian Churrasco. When he’s not teaching, Cesar loves traveling. When he can get in some TV time, he enjoys watching Hawaii 5-0 and the movie Charley. And even though his favorite color is sky blue… we all know that Cesar bleeds green. He is a true Bulldog and a true asset to Provo High!

Flavorful Friday – Child Nutrition
For our last day of ESP appreciation this week, we feature our fabulously flavorful Child Nutrition employees. They are a colorful bunch with great personality that shines through to their meal preparation. If you haven’t seen for yourself, check out this article highlighting the creativity found within the walls of our cafeteria. We are so grateful for these wonderful peeps and all they do to keep our students, faculty, and visitors well nourished!
Thoroughly Clean Thursday – Custodians
The ever so clever catchphrases 😆 continue into Thursday, as we spotlight our incredible custodians!! Our custodians and maintenance workers are a well-oiled machine that keeps Provo High running from day to day. They are our go-to people, always troubleshooting issues and taking care of pretty much any issue you can think of. Not only do they keep our new building looking spiffy, they fix leaks, keep the temperature just right, ensure the elevator is running smoothly, maintain the grounds, and set up for events. They’re a fantastic group, and we are grateful for all they do!
Wicked Awesome Wednesday – Special Education
We may not live in Boston, but I think wicked awesome is a pretty good way to describe the paraprofessionals who work in our Special Education classrooms. These individuals are some of the warmest, most wonderful people you will ever meet… and they always seem to have a smile on their face! They possess tremendous patience and kindness, and they care so much for our students. All these attributes and more make our Special Ed aides truly special and truly awesome.
#TransformationTuesday – Instructional Assistants
Maybe we’re not using the hashtag in the traditional sense, but it still seems completely appropriate as we spotlight all the amazing ESPs who help our students transform on a daily basis! Students may sometimes struggle with certain academic subjects or material, but we have math aides, ESL aides, 504 aides, after-school aides, Twilight teachers and GAP teachers… all eager to help our students achieve success. All it takes is watching them in action to see how much they genuinely care for the students they help. The extra support these ESPs provide is invaluable, and we are so very fortunate to have these amazing people at Provo High!
