Last weekend, PHS Drama competed in the Shakespeare Competition in Cedar City. They had some wonderful experiences performing and watching the works of the Bard for two and a half days. This was the 40th year of the competition, with over 3,000 students competing from all over the western United States.

The PHS team placed 4th in Sweepstakes. Hallie Purser placed 5th in Monologues, with Chanté Bronson and Caleb Voss also placing in the top 15. Teagan Mann, David Mitchell, and Kobe Black placed 4th in Trio Scenes, and Marcus Harding, Drake Hansen, and Beth Rosenquist placed 5th.
Meanwhile, the PHS Dance Company took 1st in Dance ensemble and 1st in Dance trio (choreographed by Shawnie Jakeman). Josie Price also won the $1,000 dance scholarship to SUU… and for the third year in a row, the Dance Company was chosen as the featured performance during the awards ceremony.

Congrats to all!
