Mr. Brian Preece attended Skyline HS in Salt Lake City graduating in 1984. He then attended BYU graduating with a B.A. in History-Teaching and a minor in P.E.-Coaching in 1989. Since then he has earned additional teaching endorsements in Geography, Driver Education and English as a Second Language. In 2012 he earned his M.Ed. from SUU.
Mr. Preece has taught and coached in the Utah public schools since 1986. He started teaching at West HS in 1989 before coming to Provo High in 1994.
Mr. Preece married his wife Heidi in 1997 and they have two children. He enjoys golf, writing and travel. In 2006 Mr. Preece was honored by the National Wrestling Coaches Association as the top wrestling coach in Utah. Besides his teaching duties he has coached wrestling, baseball, golf and football. He also recently founded the Provo High Wrestling Hall of Fame and the Wrestling Against Cancer Duals which is hosted by the school. In 2017, Mr. Preece was selected to be a member of the Utah Teacher Fellows and Hope Street Group, one of 20 selected Utah educators that advocate for public schools and teachers.
